The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the Higher Secondary Education (Class 12) Result 2024 on May 21. In these results, Tanisha Sagar Boramanikar, a 17-year-old student at Devagiri College in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was the only student to achieve a 100 per cent score in the HSC exams. According to the MSBSHSE, Tanisha scored a total of 582 marks, including 18 marks under the sports quota. She is also a national chess player and has won several championships. Boramanikar achieved perfect scores in Organization of Commerce and Management, Pali, and Economics, securing 100 out of 100 in each. She also scored 89 in English, 95 in Bookkeeping and Accountancy, and 98 in Secretarial Practice.
According to Tanisha, she didn’t anticipate scoring 100 per cent in the HSC board exams, but she did expect to surpass 95 per cent. Her parents were overjoyed when the results were announced. For the last year, she was occupied with chess tournaments, but two months before the exams, she devoted all her attention to studying. Additionally, she practised for the exams by solving numerous question papers, which greatly aided her preparation. Tanisha has not only participated in national and state-level chess tournaments but has also proudly represented India on multiple occasions.
Speaking about her future aspirations, Tanisha expresses her interest in following in her mother’s footsteps as a chartered accountant (CA). Additionally, she envisions taking the UPSC exams to become an IFS officer, all while maintaining her passion for playing chess.
