“The Biggest Business Convention at the K-12 level to Foster the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow”
DCM Group of Schools, one of the leading names in the education sector in India, has launched a first-of-its kind initiative last year – TEISCON, The Young Entrepreneurs Indian Premier Schools Business Conclave. The event has drawn a lot of attention among the top schools in India, who came on board and participated in various events. DCM has come up with the second edition of it – TEISCON 2.0, which will be a two-days extravaganza that is scheduled for August 13-14, 2021. TEISCON 2.0 has the objective of providing a platform to the students for exchanging ideas such that they may get innovative mindsets already from the formative years.
Mr. Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group of Schools who is listed among the Top 21 educators in the country, says that his vision is to inculcate this spirit of entrepreneurship amidst the students and to impart an in-depth knowledge of financial skills juxtaposed with business acumen from a very young age. Mr. Gupta says “getting certified without getting skilled is absolutely of no use. He further reiterates that India is a country that has a whopping 64% of its population falling under the working age group. So, making them employable at the end of their studies is extremely important if our country wants to book a berth in the league of developed nations.”
The core aim of TEISCON 2.0 is to facilitate an interaction between the students, academia and the magnates of the industry. This two-day learning fiesta will host immensely inspiring sessions, with keynote addresses by highly distinguished speakers- all leaders from diverse fields such as Business, Commerce, and IT. The experts will join collectively and share their ideas on various topics that are of relevance in the contemporary business and corporate worlds.
“TEISCON 2.0 will provide a great opportunity to the leaders of today to engage with the leaders of tomorrow” – says Dr Gopan Gopalakrishnan, Deputy CEO, DCM Group of Schools. He leads a team of highly talented and motivated academics in the planning and execution of this event. He believes that the program will undoubtedly be a plethora of meticulous and brain-challenging events which will critically test the business and analytical acumen of the budding entrepreneurs.
Ms. Richa Batra, Head – Skill Education and the Program Convener says that “each event at this virtual convention is exclusively and carefully planned to challenge the creativity and alertness of the students and aims at catering to a variety of interests in the spectrum of commerce, like marketing, management, and finance along with an enriching experience”. As a trained CFA, she has long years of professional and teaching experience. For Ms. Batra, such an event is something she had not even dreamt about when she was a student. Now being part of DCM, she got such a unique opportunity to plan and execute competitions and events of highest quality and relevance.
TEISCON 2.0 will bring together top names from the field of entrepreneurship and business world. Some of the eminent names are Dr Biswajit Saha, Director of Skill Education, CBSE – New Delhi and Dr Terri Dankovich, CTO and Co-Founder of Foliawater, USA who had been named as the top 25 womenpreneurs and women inventors in the world. Other notable keynote speakers – both from the business and academic world include Dr Padmakumar Nair, Director of Thapar School of Management, Mr. Julian Vogel and Ms. Lynn Räbsamen – two successful Swiss Entrepreneurs from Zürich, who are the alumni of Wharton Business School (world rank #2 business school).
The idea of TEISCON 2.0 is in sync with the provisions of National Education Policy 2020 under which the Ministry of Education has laid major emphasis on development of entrepreneurial skills in each individual student so as to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society. The entire focus of TEISCON is thus to develop skills and disposition which empowers our country and to take it to the developed nations club.
