The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the application process for the Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child. Additionally, the renewal portal for students who received this scholarship in 2022 has also been activated. The deadline for registration is October 18th, and applications can be submitted on the official website, accessible at https://cbseit.in/cbse/2023/sgcx/default.aspx.
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must be the only child in their family, have achieved a minimum of 60% in the first five subjects in their Class 10 examinations from a CBSE-affiliated school, and currently be enrolled in Class 11 at the same school.
As part of the Single Girl Child scholarship program, eligible students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 500. The maximum monthly tuition fee permissible for Class 10 is Rs 1,500, with a 10% increment applicable for Class 11 and 12.
