The Institute of Bakery and Culinary Arts organized a “Master Chocolate Artist” Competition for their students. This competition’s objective was to give participants an opportunity to showcase their talent and learn from the most experienced chefs. from the hospitality industry. The competition was supported by luker chocolate.
Dr. Chef Balendra Singh Said “Master Cake Artist Competition provides a platform to people who want to showcase their love and talent for cooking. These kinds of competitions help participants to come out of their comfort zone not only to enhance their thinking ability but also to give them ideas for managing their career challenges and daily activities as well. All the participants were highly competitive and beautifully demonstrated their creativity during the competition. He also praised the efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff and congratulated the students for their active participation in the extravaganza”.
Through engaging in the competition, students learn to appreciate their own working skills, gain valuable life skills by working under pressure and working with limitation of time, gain confidence by presenting and speaking about their recipes and develop culinary skills that they can use later in life.
With the cash prize of ₹5000 Meenu Bansal secured the 1st position, Aditi Chawla won the second position with a cash prize of ₹3100, and Priya Verma secured the third position with a cash prize of ₹2100 in the competition. Sandeep Kaur won the excellence in presentation award, Santana Parikh won excellence in Skill Technique and Meenakshi Nath won the excellence in Taste award.
The Event was graced by the presence of Chef ChefTarun Kumar, Chef Preeti Manchanda, Chef Gaurav Wadhwa, Chef Sandeep Sharma, Chef Vivek Chauhan, Chef Balendra Singh were present as jury members in the Chocolate Arts Competition.
