will be provided extra 10 marks

The Christ Church College in Lucknow has decided to allot extra marks to students who will encourage their parents to vote on the Election Day. This initiative has been taken by the college with a motive to increase the percentage of polling in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. This college has promised to add extra ten marks to the final results of those students whose parents will cast the vote in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Many other schools across the nation are implementing several methods to promote voting in Lok Sabha elections 2019. Some of these methods are:

  • Competitions
  • Marches
  • Slogan writing
  • Extra marks will be provided to motivate students for asking their parents to vote

Originally a tiny Anglo Indian School, the Christ Church College was founded in 1878 by H McConoghey with only two students at Cantonment Road, Lucknow. It was registered under the name of Christ Church McConoghey School Society, Lucknow under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and was governed by the Diocese of Lucknow CNI.

Lady Haig has laid the foundation stone of Christ Church College at the present site on January 31, 1939. This school was only up to class 8 for about many years and only in 1967 it had become an intermediate college.
