Every year the annual exams of ICSE and ISC are counted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The board of council has decided to introduce compartmental examinations for Classes 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) from this year onwards, according to a notification released by the Council. The students will have the chance of appearing for the compartmental exams and there is no need to wait for a whole year. The students are permitted to appear for one subject only.
The compartmental examinations for ICSE and ISC will be held only once in the year in the month of July, as declared by the board. So far no date has been fixed yet. In the month of February and March, this year the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) conducted the ICSE and ISC annual examinations respectively.
In the month of June 2019, the application forms for the compartment exams will be issued. Along with securing the passing marks in English (Compulsory) and three other subjects in the ICSE 2019 exam, candidates will be eligible to apply for compartmental examinations.
