The third edition of TiE Grad Business Idea Tournament has been launched by Tie Hyderabad for college graduates. By focusing on three major areas, i.e., access to money, markets and mentors to start a business, Tie aims to bring more grad schools in the ecosystem of startup. The selection process is due to be held between April and June.
“TiE enhances and spreads entrepreneurship in the ecosystem around us. We do that through a voluntary club of charter members, who work in a two-prong approach. One to mentor deserving startup companies, who are our associate members and two to seed the idea of entrepreneurship into the ecosystem. The Hyderabad Chapter has many programmes to guide budding entrepreneurs in fundraising, business planning to sales and marketing help that they need,” said Suresh Reddy, President of TiE Hyderabad.
In its third edition TiE has a plan to bring at least 25 colleges onboard, train 5000 students over the year, and empower the faculty to handhold students who are entrepreneurially oriented.
Subba Raju Pericherla, TiE Grad Programme chair mentioned, “Education to entrepreneurship is the keystone to building a strong startup ecosystem. The second edition attracted 119 grad school entries, and in the third edition, we aim to outperform our target”.
