The assessment of high school and intermediate answer sheets by the UP Board is set to commence on March 16 and conclude within 13 working days, wrapping up on March 31, according to UP Board secretary Dibyakant Shukla. However, it’s important to note that there will be no evaluation conducted from March 24 to 26 due to the observance of the Holi festival.
According to official enrollment data, a total of 55,25,308 candidates have registered for the 2024 academic year. Among them, 29,47,311 candidates were enrolled in the high school examination, while 25,77,997 candidates registered for the intermediate examination.
For the assessment of high school examination answer sheets, a total of 94,802 examiners have been designated, overseeing the evaluation of 1.76 crore answer sheets. Additionally, 52,295 examiners have been assigned for the evaluation of 1.25 crore answer sheets for the intermediate examination. Consequently, a grand total of 1,47,097 examiners have been enlisted for the assessment of 3.01 crore answer sheets.
In this round of evaluations, there are 131 evaluation centers specifically dedicated to the assessment of high school answer sheets, while 116 evaluation centers have been established for the evaluation of intermediate answer sheets. Of the total 260 evaluation centers, 83 are government-operated, and 177 are non-government aided secondary schools, functioning as evaluation centers.
The UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams for 2024 are scheduled to conclude on March 9. The examination is conducted in two shifts, with the first shift taking place from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the second shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
During this session, there were claims of a potential leak of Class 12 Biology and Mathematics question papers. However, these allegations were refuted by Board secretary Dibyakant Shukla. The question paper supposedly surfaced on a WhatsApp group named ‘All Principles Agra’ at around 3:10 pm, shared by an individual named Vinay Choudhary. It’s worth noting that the exam had already concluded within 1 hour and 10 minutes by that time.
