The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has decided to postpone the compartment exams of classes 10 and 12. Now, the exams would begin from July 22. Students will soon get the detailed schedule of the exam from the board’s official website: upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in. Earlier the compartment exams were held from July 15. Supplementary exams of class 10 would be held in the morning shift from 8 am to 11:15 am and that of class 12 would be held in the evening shift from 2pm to 5:15 pm.
Almost 44,669 students have registered for the compartment exams this year. Out of this, 18,400 students will sit for the high school compartment exams while, 26,269 students will sit for the intermediate exams. A total of 31,16, 487 students appeared for the matric exams this year and 27,69,258 students appeared for the class 12 exams. This year’s pass percentage for class 10 was recorded to be 89.78 per cent and that of class 12 was recorded to be 75.52 per cent. Students need to score a minimum of 35 per cent in each subject to pass. If they fail in one or more subjects, they can sit for the compartment exams.
