UP Government sets steps against cheating for the upcoming board examinations

by

The Yogi Adityanath government is once again taking decisive steps to combat cheating during the UP Board examinations.

While upholding current protocols, innovative measures are being introduced to enhance the examination process.

Central administrators are undergoing comprehensive training led by expert trainers to ensure the effective implementation of these measures. The training is covering all exam-related aspects, aiming to eliminate any potential errors during the examination process.

The UP Board exams, scheduled to commence on February 22 and conclude on March 9, a total of 55,25,290 students have enrolled, with 29,47,325 for high school and 25,77,965 for intermediate exams.

The board has strategically established 8265 exam centers across the state, which comprises 566 government exam centers, 3479 funded exam centers, and 4220 non-funded exam centers, highlighting the comprehensive efforts made to ensure a fair and secure examination environment.

Dibyakant Shukla, Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board, announced the appointment of three master trainers for each of the state’s 75 districts. These trainers will provide in-depth information about the examinations to center administrators through audio-video presentations.

Shukla emphasized that the training covers crucial topics, including preventing cheating, maintaining order, ensuring the security of question papers, and managing the maintenance of answer sheets. Moreover, new arrangements are being introduced this time.

In a pioneering move, protective QR codes, logos, and coding have been integrated into the cover page of the answer sheets. Additionally, page numbers have been printed in four different colors, different from colors which were used in the previous year.

The Secretary of the UP Secondary Education board declared, regarding the integration of the QR code, that for the first time, a secure QR code is being issued to room inspectors. Alongside this, they are also receiving a computerized identity card with a serial number this time, facilitating easier coordination with the room inspectors.
