Venkateshwar International School (VIS), Sector 10, Dwarka, has introduced two Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) programmes—ASPIRE for Classes 1 to 5 and CASEL for Classes 6 to 12—aimed at nurturing emotional intelligence and holistic development in students.
With increasing digital access for children, the school recognises the importance of instilling moral values, empathy, and self-awareness from an early age. The newly launched initiatives are tailored to support students through different developmental stages.
ASPIRE, targeted at primary classes, promotes emotional literacy, confidence, and empathy through storytelling, role-play, and collaborative exercises. It fosters social awareness and encourages positive peer interactions, laying the foundation for emotional well-being.
CASEL (Collaborative Activities for Socio-Emotional Learning), designed for older students, helps adolescents navigate emotional challenges, make responsible choices, and build healthy relationships. It incorporates themes of cultural sensitivity, digital responsibility, and real-life application, equipping students to handle complex social and academic environments.
Principal Dr Manisha Sharma stated, “In today’s fast-evolving world, academic excellence must go hand-in-hand with emotional intelligence. With ASPIRE and CASEL, we are not just teaching skills—we are nurturing hearts, building resilience, and preparing students to lead with empathy and purpose. These initiatives are a testament to our belief that education is the art of igniting a mindful, compassionate, and courageous generation.”
Through these programmes, VIS reinforces its commitment to shaping responsible, reflective, and adaptable learners ready to meet the demands of the modern world.
