The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has instructed all chief examiners responsible for assessing answer sheets in the recently concluded 10th-grade board exams to submit marks online. This move is part of the board’s initiative to fully digitize the examination and evaluation processes, ensuring transparency and fairness.
The marks submission process for all subjects in the Madhyamik Pariksha will now take place online, alongside the existing method of submitting marks through OMR mark sheets.
Although the board had previously introduced online verification to some extent last year, this initiative is taking a step forward in streamlining the submission procedure and improving overall efficiency.
Recognizing the potential challenges associated with transitioning to a new system, Board President Ramanuj Ganguly declared of seeking assistance from scrutinisers. He advised enlisting the support of 4-5 scrutinisers who can effectively navigate the online marks submission process within the designated time-frame.
To familiarize the head examiners with the online marks submission process, a comprehensive video demonstration will be shared with them. The link to access the video will be communicated to them via SMS.
