Srinivasa Ramanujan was born in a lower-middle-class family in Tamil Nadu. His father worked in a saree shop and his mother used to sing songs in the temple. His parents were not educated much and they lived a very simple life. His family kept moving to several places initially and Ramanujan’s primary education happened in many schools.

Ramanujan did not receive any formal training in Mathematics but was still a hardworking student. He had a lot of interest in Maths and was far ahead of his classmates in school. We can learn to follow his steps to gain more interest in the subjects we like to learn. He used to explore and discover his ways of solving Math problems in school. It tells us how we can solve problems if we continue to work hard and try to explore various methods. Ramanujan had to live in poverty until he got an offer to join the University of Madras as a researcher. He later got opportunities to work outside India and got a lot of appreciation for his intelligence and hard work. This tells us how we can move ahead in our life if we continue to work hard in subjects which are of interest to us.

Ramanujan was a true example of dedication and hard work. He set examples through his intelligence in solving math problems. He was simple, honest and yet very intelligent. He proved that with true dedication, we can always succeed in our lives. His life is a great example of sincerity and hard work which we all should try to follow.
