Imagine if our world is without mathematics. In today’s time, it is impossible to live without mathematics. Mathematics is important in daily life. Maths is needed in every step of our life and we cannot live without it. Numbers are the basic foundation and building blocks in our life.

If we do not have numbers there is no time, no calendar and the list goes on. We won’t even know our birthday, festivals, price of an item etc. If we want to buy any electronic gadgets we wouldn’t have a budget without numbers. While painting our house, how would the builder estimate the amount of paint, required for the building all this is possible only with Algebra, which also comes under mathematics. There wouldn’t be any advancements in science or technology. In today’s life, we can’t even imagine life without computers, cell phones, television and even electricity. For instance, the recent Covid-19 pandemic has caused huge tremors in our day-to-day life. If it was not for the online classes, the news broadcast and the instant transfer, of information and one part of the world to another, we wouldn’t have been able to keep up with our pace in advancements and the development of vaccines with improved technology and informatics would have been repressed. If there are no numbers, we can’t reveal science and technology. If there is no mathematics, the younger generation would have nothing to learn for. Even in sports, there are comparisons for scores of their opponents and it is difficult to find a winner. The economic hit is the hardest. There wouldn’t have traded, day-to-day transactions will be chaotic.

Without mathematics, all of the comforts which make our lives what they are today would be no more. It is a subject that is applied to every field and profession. Mathematics has a wide and huge application in every sphere of our life.  Quiet simply, life without mathematics is actually impossible and unimaginable. It was made to make our lives easier, not more difficult.

“Life is a math equation, in order to gain the most, you have to know how to convert negatives into positives”.
