Ahead of this year’s Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared an encouraging message for students through a short video released on his official YouTube channel. The video comes as registrations for the flagship initiative cross the 3-crore mark.
“Believe in your own pattern, because not everyone knows everything, but everyone knows something,” the Prime Minister said while interacting with students. Emphasising the importance of preparation, he added that writing plays a crucial role in examinations and that whatever students read gets stored in their minds.
In the video, students posed questions on building daily habits to achieve their dreams, the role of motivation versus discipline, and ways to strengthen self-confidence. These and other concerns will be addressed by the Prime Minister during Pariksha Pe Charcha. The video also hints at new elements being introduced in this year’s edition of the programme.
Registrations for PPC 2026 will remain open until January 11. Of the more than 3 crore registrations so far, around 2.85 crore are students, 17 lakh are teachers, and about 3.49 lakh are parents.
During the interaction, the Prime Minister will also engage with parents and teachers, focusing on how they can better support students in achieving their goals and aspirations.
The Ministry of Education, in a post on X, said that registrations for Pariksha Pe Charcha have reached a historic milestone, reflecting widespread participation from students, parents, and educators across the country.
This year’s themes for PPC include:
Making exams a celebration
Contribution of freedom fighters
Saving the environment
Clean India
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual initiative aimed at reducing exam stress and fostering a positive learning environment by encouraging open dialogue between students, parents, teachers, and policymakers.
