The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all affiliated schools to update the data of teachers teaching Classes 11 and 12 on the OASIS portal for the implementation of On-Screen Marking (OSM) in the Class 12 board examinations from 2026.
In an official circular dated February 9, CBSE said the directive follows its earlier announcement on introducing OSM for the digital evaluation of Class 12 answer books. The Board clarified that all teachers teaching Classes 11 and 12 will be deployed for OSM evaluation to ensure timely completion of the evaluation process and declaration of results.
CBSE stated that teachers will be provided mandatory training before the evaluation begins. For this purpose, teachers will receive login credentials to access the OSM portal, with login details and OTPs sent to their registered email IDs and mobile numbers.
The Board emphasised that it is mandatory to update complete teacher details on the OASIS portal, including name, subject, experience, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. Schools have been instructed to complete this process by February 13, 2026, by 4:00 pm, if not already done.
CBSE warned that non-compliance will invite strict action. Any deviation from the instructions will be treated as an attempt to compromise the evaluation process, and in such cases, the results of the concerned school will not be declared, with further action taken under the Board’s Examination and Affiliation Bye-Laws.
