Dr C N Ashwath Naryan, the higher education minister of Karnataka in a press release on Tuesday stated that 30 engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka include 14 government colleges have been selected for the RETE. ( Regional Ecosystem For Technical Excellence) The RETE has the vision of upgrading these technical universities into centre of excellences of global standards in the next five years. He stated that RETE will make sure all districts in the state of Karnataka receive quality technological education.
“Thirty colleges across the state have been selected for the RETE. These are considered under the three categories of incubation, accelerator and Super-30. Private colleges have been selected in those districts where there are no government colleges,” the higher education minister of education stated. The office of DR C N Ashwath Narayan stated that RETE will come into existence as a result of the government, VTU and industry coming together.
