Once there lived a cat named Idli. He was a naughty little fellow who would go from one house to the other creating havoc! In the tiny locality, however, everybody loved Idli. Some called him “Idlu” out of sheer adoration! Elders would eagerly feed the kitten and kids loved playing with him! One fine evening Idlu was nowhere to be seen. Children waited to play with their small friend, elders waited to pet him. But Idlu was just nowhere! As morning fell, everyone started looking for the kitten. Such a funny day it was! There were no cats but the meows were endless! Everyone called and looked for the mischief maker. Some checked on their terraces, while others looked at their balconies. Suddenly Idlu was found, sleeping peacefully with a ball of wool. “Looks like he was invited to the wedding next door!”, said a mausi. Everyone broke out laughing! It was one of the days when the locality had come together. Idlu had brought them all close but he himself was unaware!
