Twenty-five state-run schools are about to get CBSE affiliation, the education minister Jagarnath Mahto informed on Saturday.
“We have identified 80 state-run schools throughout Jharkhand which will be converted into model schools and they will have facilities at par with the private schools. Of those 80 schools, 25 will have CBSE affiliation in the first phase,” the education minister added.
Some schools are being upgraded to model schools and the foundation work for that has already begun. Ram Rudra Plus Two High School in Chas block, Kasturbha Gandhi residential girls school and Project Girls High School, Nawidh are a few of them.
Mahto in a press conference said “Students must lead a disciplined life in order attain wisdom from the guru (teacher) and progress in life. Make your school, district and state proud. Study hard and you will succeed.”
He encouraged the students to aspire for higher roles and become deputy development commissioner, district education officers, and deputy commissioners.
He also informed that the government was planning to introduce credit cards which would offer loans to students upto 10 lakhs which the students could use to pursue higher education.
