Noida School Loses CBSE Affiliation After Harassment, Misconduct Complaints

by Triparna Ray

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has withdrawn senior secondary affiliation of a school in Sector 56, Noida, following multiple complaints alleging mental harassment, salary deductions, and indecent behaviour by the school management.

The decision was taken after repeated representations from teachers and staff, prompting an official inquiry into the functioning of the school.

Fact-Finding Committee Confirms Allegations

Following the complaints, a two-member fact-finding committee, headed by the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) and the City Magistrate, was constituted to examine the allegations.

According to the inquiry report submitted to the CBSE, the allegations against the school administration were found to be substantial, with several instances of non-compliance with affiliation norms.

CBSE Order and Restrictions Imposed

In an order issued on February 18, the CBSE withdrew the school’s senior secondary affiliation and imposed the following restrictions:

  • The school has been barred from admitting new students
  • Promotion of students to Class 9 and Class 11 has been prohibited
  • The school will be allowed to apply for restoration of secondary affiliation only after two academic sessions, subject to full compliance with CBSE affiliation bylaws

Relief for Board Exam Students

To ensure that students are not adversely affected:

  • Class 10 and Class 12 students have been allowed to complete the 2025–26 academic session at the school
  • Class 9 and Class 11 students have been directed to seek admission in other CBSE-affiliated schools before March 31
  • A decision regarding students from Classes 1 to 8 is yet to be taken

School Management Denies Allegations

The school administration has denied all allegations, maintaining that it has followed due process and complied with applicable rules. No further clarification has been issued by the school at this stage.
