The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has declared the ‘Bochor Bachao’ (save a year) examination results for classes 10 and 12. 82 percent students from class 12 have passed the examination, whereas 61 percent of students from class 10 have passed the ‘Bochor Bachao’ examination. On Saturday evening, the board President, Dhnanjoy Ganchoudhury, responded that 2343 students out of 3797 who appeared for the exam could qualify this year’s retest.
For class 12, 3434 students could clear the exam. The total number of students who sat for the exam was 4186. Launched in the year 2020, the ‘Bochor Bachao’ scheme helps students who failed in two subjects despite scoring an aggregate of 150 marks, to appear for a retest. “The headmaster or any other representative of these schools should visit the TBSE office on September 4 with the students’ old marksheets in order to get the new ones,” said the board chief.
